Nappy News!

Hello Everyone - just 18 days to Christmas and I still haven't done a spot of Christmas shopping!  I better get my act together soon or Santa may not be good to me this year...!


Some of you may be aware that a stocking was held on my website a couple of weeks ago.  Well, it started on the website (which crashed dismally) and then was moved to Facebook so turned out OK in the end.  I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely APOLOGISE to everyone that was involved in the stocking and was inconvenienced.  I know that there were many of you with nappies in your cart, who were unable to checkout.  Hopefully most of you managed to score a nappy or two on Facebook!  


As promised to make up for the disaster, I will be holding another stocking next week.  I'll be sending out a newsletter in a few days to officially announce a date.  Many of the nappies available will be the same as in the previous stocking minus a few designs that completely sold out on the night (I'm waiting on more fabric to arrive).  To be kept informed of the stocking dates, please make sure you're subscribed to our newsletter on the website.


I will try and post before Christmas - however if I don't, I would like to wish you all a very SAFE and Merry Christmas.  Thank you all so much for your support and understanding this year and I promise that next year will bring many more nappies :)

The 6 week countdown is on!

I know - I keep saying it.  But I can't believe it's nearly Christmas already!  The year has flown by and has bought SO many changes with it.  Our year has been an enormous one - with starting Designer Bums, moving house (twice!), buying a house, starting to renovate a house & selling a house.  Yes, we are only a little crazy ;)


All has been very positive though and next year things on the home-front will hopefully quieten down a little...


In nappy news, I'll be at Mathilda's Market on Sunday 21st November.  It's a special Christmas market and will be held indoors at Caulfield Racecourse from 9am-1pm.  I've heard that over 100 stallholders will be there - EXCITING!  Hope to see you all there!


Nappy Stockings - I'm excited to announce that I have enlisted a couple of lovely local Melbourne girls to help out with some sewing.  This will certainly make my life a ton easier and will also give my customers a chance to purchase nappies as I'll be stocking them more regularly.  I am looking for more helpers at the moment - I really want to keep production in Australia for as long as possible - preferably forever! I'm aiming for a stocking in 2 weeks so stay tuned!


You may have seen a few new photos floating around the website & our Facebook page. The very talented Jennifer from Jennifer Elizabeth Photography took a bunch of professional shots for me during the week... they are amazing!

Insert packs will be $9.95 which includes 2 x 3 layer thick bamboo inserts.  We recommend that you team our nappies with our contoured inserts to get the best performance out of your nappies.

Postage within Australia will be $7.50 FLAT RATE - if you purchase 6 or more nappies, postage will be FREE within Australia.  Please contact me for International postage rates before the auction - I will always post Internationally for as little cost to the customer as possible.

New Price Structure

After much deliberation and helpful feedback from our customers, we have decided to alter our pricing structure at Designer Bums.

From now on, all nappies will be $25 each.

This price is for the nappy alone without an insert pack.  If you would like to purchase an insert pack, these will be $9.95 and available to purchase separately.  Our inserts packs come with 2 inserts, both made with 3 layers each of super thirsty 430gsm bamboo.  Our nappies will perform best when teamed with our inserts so we recommend purchasing these along with your nappies.

I will be 'testing out' this new pricing structure on Wednesday evening (8:30pm 20th October) by releasing a number of nappies for sale through my facebook page... www.facebook.com/designerbums
Inserts will also be available.

I am also working on a number of custom orders, along with Mathilda's market stock so there will only be a very limited number of nappies available.  Make sure you are ready and waiting.

Postage will be $7.50 FLAT RATE for all orders on Wednesday evening.

Thought I'd share with you all...I love Cath Kidston and think these red polkadots are super cute!

I hope everyone had a fab weekend - we certainly did.  We bought a house!  So exciting.  A BIG renovation ahead of us... not sure how I'm going to find time to sew AND build!

RE-USABLE NAPPY WEEK SPECIAL!

It's re-usable nappy week in Australia this week, from 11-17th October.  Let's celebrate using Modern Cloth Nappies - how great they are for the environment, soft against baby's skin, how much $$ they save us and last but not least.... just how darn pretty they look!

To celebrate this wonderful event, Designer Bums will be offering free postage on all orders placed within Australia this week.  I have opened up the shop - most fabrics are still available unless they read 'sold out.'

If you would like to place an order, simply choose your nappies and go through checkout as normal.  Postage costs within Australia will disappear.  If you are overseas and would like to participate, let me know and I'm sure I can come up with a little incentive for those abroad wishing to purchase this week also.

My New Toy!

Introducing my new toy!  I love new toys - especially ones I can combine for business and personal AND claim it back at the end of the year - YAY!

So now there will be no more excuses for not blogging regularly and hopefully plenty more pretty pictures!

In nappy news, I am now taking custom orders through my website.  If you are interested in purchasing some nappies, simply go onto the website, click on the shop page, choose the nappies that you would like and check out as per normal.  There is a 1-2 week on all custom orders at the moment but I'm working as quickly as I can to get these all out.

More exciting news!  We have been accepted into Mathildas Market and will be debuting our range at Caulfield Racecourse, Sunday 21st November.  SO excited!  Hope to see you all there.

NAPPY STOCKING 8PM MONDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER!

I thought I'd add a little sneak preview of what will be available tonight...Is everyone ready?  I'm not!  I'm still sewing frantically, finishing top-stitching heaps of nappies and making super thirsty, super absorbent bamboo inserts!

For those of you who aren't aware, our next stocking of nappies will be held on our website at 8pm (AEST), Monday 20th September (tonight).  To purchase nappies, make sure you are on the website at this time, click on "shop," simply choose what nappies you would like, add them to your basket and away you go.

ALL postage costs within Australia will be a FLAT RATE of $7.50, regardless of how many nappies are purchased.

My name is Natalie and I am very excited to introduce my new business, Designer Bums!
